About us
Summit Future Foundation is a Kansas City based nonprofit that was founded on the belief that all individuals, regardless of their ability level, have the right to lead a meaningful life that includes employment and being an active participant in their community.
Our program leadership team is comprised of dynamic professionals who carryout the day to day functions of our operations, programs and services.
Cassidi Jobe
Co-Founder & Executive Director
Cassidi is a community organizer and parent of two children who experience developmental and learning disabilities.
Her passion that all individuals, regardless of their ability level, have the right to lead a meaningful and inclusive life has led her to a wide range of leadership experiences.
From co-founding and leading our grassroots non-profit to state-wide initiatives, Cassidi has developed innovative practices that promote optimal outcomes for youth and young adults who experience developmental disabilities.
Janna Leadbetter
Administrative Assistant
Janna joined the Summit Future Foundation leadership team in March 2023 as our full-time administrative assistant and interdepartmental support.
Janna's professional background is rich in service work, and she has comprehensive experience in the nonprofit sector that’s a perfect fit for Summit.
Alongside Janna's strengths in outreach and communications, she's a strong advocate for human rights, which means she also thrives in spaces – just like ours – that seek diversity and demand inclusion.
When Janna isn't working with us toward our mission, she's a homebody who loves books, crime dramas, thrifting, educating and empowering women (specifically those who've experienced domestic abuse), and spending time with her son and daughter, who are both in college.

Jennifer Swisher
Community Engagement Services Coordinator
Jennifer has been Summit’s Social and Recreational Activities Coordinator since December of 2021. She began her career with Summit as a Community Support Professional in February of that year. While in that role she was able to form relationships with those we serve in their homes and in the community. Prior to joining Summit, she worked in private home services, enabling others to live independently.
Her passion for helping others, in addition to her outgoing personality, aligns well as the Social and Recreational Activities Coordinator. In this role, she is responsible for organizing and executing the numerous group programs we provide to both our teens and adults.
Jennifer played a key role in Summit’s 2022 CARF Accreditation, ensuring that policies and procedures are documented, scalable and relevant to the growth of Summit Future Foundation. Because of her impact on both the clients that we serve, as well as the organization as a whole, she was the 2022 recipient of Summit’s Team Member of the Year Award.

Brooke enjoys spending her free time with her friends and family. When given the opportunity she likes to curl up with a blanket to read a book or watch a movie or show. Brooke is an overall animal lover, but she is particularly fond of orangutans.
From the Executive Director
As Summit Future Foundation brings our sixth year of supporting teens and young adults to a close, we are humbled as we reflect on the support we have received, and the progress we have made. As we look ahead to the future of our organizations work, we are invigorated by the growth our organization has seen as a result of the needs we are fulfilling, and compelled to press forward in order to ensure that every teen and young adult in our community has the opportunity to lead a meaningful and inclusive life. Our organization would not have the ability to have positively impacted so many lives in such a short period of time if it had not been for the many supporters who have attended our special events, made private donations, or other contributions to further our cause. For that we are so incredibly grateful.
We also want to send our gratitude to the families who have trusted us to join them along their journey of empowering their child to reach their fullest potential. While we look ahead to 2024 and beyond, we remain committed to find new and innovative ways to ensure those we support have the ability to lead a full and admiral life as an active member of their community.
