Dan received his training in Special Education from Missouri State University and also the University of Missouri at Kansas City. He obtained his certification in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from the Florida Institute of Technology. Dan worked in Kansas City for a decade in crisis behavior intervention, parent and teacher training in ABA and supervision of behavior technicians before opening Summit Behavioral Services in 2010. While he has retired from direct service, Dan still manages the operation of Summit Behavioral Services, which has grown to include a large consulting division, two private schools in Missouri and Kansas, and an early childhood ABA clinic for very young children, which supports transitioning to school-aged services. Dan sees the development of adolescent/adult employment and transitional supports as a vital addition to a comprehensive array of services that is much-needed in Kansas City, the Midwest and nationwide

As a self-advocate and graduate from the University of Central Missouri with a Bachelor’s Degree in Youth and Human Service Candace has a passion for supporting transition-aged youth as they prepare for their futures. She feels she can use her lived experiences, overcoming her own challenges, to support teens and their families in identifying their strengths and achieving their full potential. Candace’s past board leadership experience includes EITAS Developmental Disability Services of Jackson County and the Missouri Youth LEAD. She is dedicated to using her passion for helping other individuals with different abilities.

Alice currently serves as the Field Director of Summit Behavioral Services, directing a team of BCBA’s and RBT certified implementers working in homes, community and schools throughout the metropolitan area. She brings to our Board of directors 10 years of experience working with individuals and families, building understanding that a child’s success is only limited to our vision and that individuals with developmental differences are capable of amazing things. Alice is extremely passionate about improving transition outcomes and community based opportunities for youth and young adults and assisting the many families with the question of what their child’s future looks like. She is excited to help build that vision and open up more possibilities for each individual.

Lisa has worked in the field of Education for 14 years, currently employed with Kansas City Girls Preparatory Academy as a High-School Functional Academics Teacher. Her education includes receiving a Bachelors in Psychology and Masters in Social Work. Lisa and her husband live in Kansas City’s Westside neighborhood with their two sons, both who are Autistic. Lisa believes that every person deserves the same opportunities and experiences. It is an honor for Lisa to work hard to assure more doors are opened for more families and people with developmental disabilities

Clint’s journey to help individuals with intellectual disabilities started over 10 years ago, working in school-based settings. His experience as a direct support professional resulted in a love for working with youth and community integration. He is excited to use those experiences and passion to help Summit Future Foundation build relationships with local businesses and improve community-based opportunities for those they support.

Lisa is a lifelong Northland native. She has a passion for investing back into the community through philanthropy, education, or even completing (not running) a charitable 5k. In her "free" time she supports her son in football, does some kickboxing, and watches all the sports!
She is excited to contribute to Summit Future Foundation, its families, and the community it supports.

Carmen currently serves as Assistant Field Director and BCBA with Summit Behavioral Services, working alongside the Field Director and directing a team of BCBA’s and RBT’s working in homes, schools and the community across the Kansas City metro.
Carmen obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas and her graduate degree from Ball State University. Carmen has over ten years of experience working with individuals with special needs in various settings.
Carmen’s passion for the special needs community sparked when she attended and later volunteered at Camp Barnabas, a camp for individuals with special needs, as well as serving as a peer mentor to life skills students in her high school years. Carmen has always been an advocate for disability rights, as she has a physical disability that has never prevented her from achieving her goals.

Ann, who moved to KC in 1998, received her Master's in Mental Health Counseling from The University of Wisconsin-Stout In Menomonie, Wisconsin. Her extensive professional background presently finds her at Beacon Mental Health as the Older Adult Behavioral Health Educator and Outreach Specialist. Ann feels privileged to have a career dedicated to supporting families in a strengths-based manner
Ann has two children, Alison and Matthew.
Ann and Alison – a dynamic force and young adult with Autism and intellectual disabilities – have been involved with Summit Future Foundation for three years.
Alison completed the Watch Me Thrive program and continues to thrive through job coaching, independent skill development, and Young Adult Connections.
Ann is very excited to increase her involvement with SFF and give back to the programs that have enriched her family’s lives.

Molly is a Kansas City native with 8 + years of fundraising and development experience, specifically in the education setting. She is currently the Director of Annual Giving and Donor Relations at Avila University.
Molly is also the parent of a child with disabilities. She is passionate about advocating for individuals with special needs and is excited to help families navigate the complicated pathway to adulthood. These combined skill sets make her uniquely qualified to contribute to the success of the Summit Future Foundation and the families we serve.
